In their letter, they wrote:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We understand that the proposed amendments to the Constitution contain provisions that, if adopted, would significantly undermine the protection and enjoyment of fundamental human rights, rule of law and democracy in Slovakia by restricting the application of European Union law and international human rights treaties ratified by the Slovak Republic in a wide range of areas, including private and family life, healthcare, and education.
